I wanted to thank everyone who has offered their support for my upcoming leap into business ownership. Everyone has been extremely cool and has passed along words of encouragement over the past week, and I’ve definitely needed it from time to time.

There’s been a couple of good write ups on the store, so if you’re interested in what the hell I’m doing with my life, check out this little blurb in the Chicago Reader, as well as this more in depth feature on DNAinfo, where they mistakenly refer to me as “a man” when I’m clearly a 12 year-old boy. 

Also, I’m still in the middle of an Indiegogo campaign where I ask friends, family, and complete strangers to give me money to cover start up costs (and give them a shirt or hoodie in return!). If you’re feeling extra generous and/or need to add to your wardrobe, please don’t hesitate to get involved with that.

Again, thanks so much for all of the good vibes so many of you have been sending my way. Hopefully you’ll enjoy everything that Pinwheel Records has to offer once the doors open.

Hey everyone,

It’s been awhile since I posted here on the ol’ Tumblrs, but I swear it’s for good reasons. I’m happy to report that I’m in the process of opening a record store here in the lovely neighborhood of Pilsen.

Things are pretty bonkers, but last week we signed a lease, but now we need to paint, build fixtures, bring in furniture, and continue to build up our inventory. With all of this pending, we still expect to be open on July 1st.

To help cover some of the start up costs, we’ve launched an Indiegogo campaign full of perks to help convince you to throw money at me. If you’re interested, feel free to scope out the page, and holler at me with any questions.

Additionally, since it’s 2015, clearly we need to have eight million social media accounts. We’ve got the usual Facebook page here, along with a super-boring (but RiotFest-approved!) Twitter account here. My personal favorite is the Instagram account, which I hope to update a little more with some of the records you’ll be able to find when we open. If you’re REALLY into social media, feel free to hit those up and like/follow/add/whatever those accounts.
